Baby Massage Training

This training is for anyone who is wanting to set out in teaching Baby Massage to parents. A prerequisite for the course is that you have experience in one of the following areas:

Childcare practitioner eg nursery nurse, nanny or childminder

Massage therapy qualification

Anatomy and physiology qualification

Health care worker eg nurse, health visitor, midwife etc

Parent or experience of babies and children

This then allows the practitioner to have an already sound working knowledge of parents, babies/children, and of the health and well-being issues of families.

The training and ideas set out in this training form the basis of a Baby Massage class. Alongside your own knowledge and experience, this training introduces you to teaching a baby massage class to parents. All classes are ideally educational in terms of teaching the background of baby massage, benefits, and cautions, yet include some fun and exciting techniques for parents and baby to try out in the sessions and at home—promoting bonding with the baby, baby’s development, mummy’s healing and also family health.

On your starting of the course(s) you will be able to join the Yogakidz Facebook private group. This is a place for you to introduce yourself, meet other students and qualified Yogakidz teachers, support each and swap ideas.

The aims of this Yogakidz training is to assist you in creating fun, safe, inspirational and educational baby massage classes so that the parent will enjoy baby massage and continue to use its wonderful tools with their baby on a daily basis.

ABOUT THE TRAINER – Rachel Ferguson:

Nine years ago, after the birth of my daughter, I embarked on a career change, and took the exciting step to become self employed. Over the years I have had the privilege of teaching baby massage to parents, and every course has been a joy to run. From my many years of teaching I have gained a wealth of experience in baby massage, and have 100% faith in the benefits baby massage can bring both baby and parent. It truly is one of the most rewarding classes you can choose to teach. The demand for baby massage courses continues to grow as there is now a greater understanding than ever before of the importance of well being, both physical, emotional and spiritual…( for parent and baby!). I also hold qualifications in Swedish Massage, Baby Yoga, Children’s Yoga, and Pregnancy Yoga, and of course can offer a wealth of advice on promotion of classes, and tips to help build a successful business in this field.
